#P55 -- 4:00 p.m. -- Is there a connection between migraine and risk of heart disease?

In a large study involving 12,466 middle-aged African and European Americans, researchers report finding a "strong association" between at least two episodes of angina pectoris (chest pain due to heart disease) and migraine headaches, especially in those who also experience "aura," the visual sensation that can accompany migraine. The link between angina and migraine with aura was strongest among women, the study showed.
