Newswise — Milan, Italy—November 10, 2015—The International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research (ISPOR) outlined the organization’s updated strategic vision this morning during its member meeting at the 18th Annual European Congress in Milan, Italy.

ISPOR President Daniel C. Malone, RPh, PhD and CEO Nancy Berg presented ISPOR’s new organizational strategy, an update of ISPOR’s Vision 2020, the current strategic plan.

ISPOR’s new Mission Statement to promote health economics and outcomes research excellence to improve decision making for health globally is supported by five strategic pillars:1. Scientific and Research Excellence2. Member Engagement3. Education and Training4. Communication and Collaboration5. Organizational Values

“We are very excited to introduce ISPOR’s new strategic vision to our members,” noted Berg. “Our updated strategy was developed by ISPOR’s Strategic Planning Working Group and approved by the ISPOR Board with input from many members.”

In his comments, Malone emphasized the Society’s commitment to strengthen the integrity, advancement, and understanding of health economics and outcomes research globally.
