The American Medical Group Association (AMGA) announced today findings from its 2013 Medical Group Compensation and Financial Survey, conducted by the national consulting firm of Sullivan, Cotter and Associates, Inc. Findings show an increase in the number of provider organizations reporting stronger financial performance for the first time in nearly a decade. The survey reported that groups, on average, broke even financially after years of operating with a negative margin – the average median national operating margin in 2011 was -$1,235 per physician.
