Newswise — MAYWOOD, IL – Loyola University Health System Chief Financial Officer Blaine Petersen, a financial healthcare executive with more than 30 years’ leadership experience, has been named to Becker’s Hospital Review’s “150 Hospital and Health System CFOs to Know.” The list features financial leaders from the country’s prominent for-profit and nonprofit hospitals and health systems. “These fiscal-minded leaders help their organizations navigate the challenging changes in healthcare reimbursement and keep the ship afloat in a time of financial uncertainty for many,” Becker’s said when announcing the list. Petersen oversees all financial planning, analysis and reporting at Maywood-based Loyola University Health System, which includes the 61-acre Loyola University Medical Center campus with 559 licensed beds, Gottlieb Memorial Hospital with 255 licensed beds and more than 30 primary and specialty care facilities. Petersen previously served as CFO of St. Alphonsus Health System in Idaho and Holy Cross Health System in Utah, as well as vice president of financial services for Catholic Health Initiatives and vice president of network services for Rocky Mountain Health Care, both in Denver, Colo.
