Newswise — The American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (ACOEM) and the National Business Group on Health (NBGH) have announced a new award recognizing achievements in corporate health.

The Global Leadership in Corporate Health Award honors the achievements of individuals who demonstrate excellence and leadership in implementing programs that improve the health and productivity of the workforce.

Individuals nominated for the award will display medical leadership in developing health innovations in the workplace, providing leadership and vision and/or publishing outstanding research in the field of health and productivity management (HPM) that can be emulated by other organizations.

"At a time when more and more employers are viewing workforce health as a vital strategic priority, this award will help put a spotlight on those individuals who are leading the way through innovation and fresh thinking," said Pamela Hymel, MD, President of ACOEM and Member of NBGH's Board of Directors.
