FORMER MARKETING EXEC NAMED ASSISTANT DEAN AT B.U. SCHOOL OF MANAGEMENT

(Boston, Mass.) -- The Boston University School of Management has appointed Jennifer Lawrence, a faculty member and former vice president of Marketing at Reebok International, to the new position of Assistant Dean for Career Services. Her appointment is effective August 2, 1999.

"Jennifer Lawrence brings an outstanding marketing track record to the Feld Career Center," said Louis Lataif, Dean of the School of Management. "I'm confident her expertise will translate into great success for our undergraduate and graduate students as they move into the business world."

Ms. Lawrence has been an adjunct assistant professor of Marketing at the School of Management since 1995 and was consistently rated by students as one of the best faculty members, excelling in teaching, in course development, and in coaching and counseling her students.

At Reebok, Lawrence headed the marketing for the Rockport brand, and had also been director of Marketing for the walking division.

Ms. Lawrence is a cum laude graduate of Bryn Mawr College and received her M.B.A. from Harvard University.

Founded as the College of Business Administration in 1913, the Boston University School of Management educates future global business leaders in the interdependencies of organizational functions, cultures, and ideas. The School offers an undergraduate degree in business administration; a full-time and part-time M.B.A. program; specialized Master's and M.B.A. degrees in Health Care Management, Public and Nonprofit Management, Information Systems, and Investment Management; eight dual-degree M.B.A. programs; a Doctoral program; and four executive education programs, including an on-site M.B.A. program with Thomson Financial Services.
