The volumes, written by 36 experts in the code's preparation and use, and edited by K.R. Rao, Ph.D., P.E., and past-chair of the ASME Pressure Vessel & Piping Division's technical committee on codes and standards, address Sections I through XI of the ASME BPVC and Codes B31.1 and B31.3 for pressure piping. The new guide serves as a companion book, or criteria document, to the latest editions to the ASME code.
Providing in-depth treatment of each of the code sections, the guide covers areas including rules for certification and accreditation. It also provides numerous examples, explanatory text, graphics, and references and annotated bibliographical notes which engineers can immediately reference to find acceptable criteria for material requirements.
