Newswise — The Clarkson University School of Business has a new online MBA program in supply chain management, its signature field of study. U.S. News and World Report has ranked Clarkson's undergraduate supply chain management program in the top-20 annually since 2003

Designed for working professionals, the supply chain MBA will focus on integrating strategic management, operations management, organizational behavior, marketing and economics.

"The online supply chain MBA is the most exciting development within the School of Business since the introduction of our supply chain program itself," says Business Dean Timothy F. Sugrue. "The program is a synthesis of our successful on-campus MBA, our highly-ranked undergraduate supply chain program and our innovative Engineering and Global Operations Management (EGOM) graduate program."

Supply chain management focuses on the integration of information technology, engineering design methodologies, quality management, logistics and distribution, global issues and strategic partnerships.

"Through EGOM we have gotten quite good at graduate education by distance," says Sugrue. "Through the online MBA, we'll be able to bring our cutting edge supply chain knowledge, coupled with our solid MBA foundation, to fully employed professions at a time and place that they need it most."

The online MBA is designed for full-time working professionals to earn their MBA at a pace that works with demanding lifestyles. Along with a flexible schedule, students can continue to work full-time and apply course concepts to their job immediately.

The MBA is fully accredited by the AACSB and can be completed part-time in two years by taking courses during four 12-week sessions each year. All online courses are led of School of Business faculty, who also will conduct two on-campus leadership development sessions.
