Newswise — NEW YORK, NY, August 11, 2015—The New York Academy of Medicine announces the inaugural year of a new program for its prestigious Fellows to expand the critical role Fellows play for the Academy as well as to share their experience and expertise with the public. Five ambassadors with expertise in health care delivery, public health, health policy and reform, Medicare and Medicaid, clinical care advances and more were selected to provide insights on behalf of the Academy, through blogging, op-eds, presentations, and media interviews.

The Academy plans to build out this program to engage more experts in the work of the Academy. The program will offer several ambassador positions each year through an application process open to the Academy’s 2,000 fellows.
