Optum Receives 2016 AMGA Distinguished Corporate Partner AwardNewswise — ALEXANDRIA, VA - AMGA recently presented the AMGA Distinguished Corporate Partner Award to Optum at AMGA’s 2016 Annual Conference, held at the Orlando World Center Marriott in Orlando, Florida.

The AMGA Distinguished Corporate Partner Award is presented to industry partners for their outstanding service and value to healthcare provider groups and their patients. Optum received the award for its longtime partnership with AMGA on improving population health through comparative clinical analytics and its commitment as AMGA’s first and only Sustaining Partner. Optum exhibits at AMGA meetings; contributes to AMGA Foundation, including as Principal Corporate Collaborator for the Foundation’s upcoming national diabetes campaign; and contributes content to AMGA’s Group Practice Journal.

Optum has been a critical and important ally for AMGA members, which include more than 435 medical groups, health systems, and other organized systems of care, including some of the nation's largest, most prestigious integrated delivery systems. Its support has enabled AMGA to develop a robust comparative analytics program for members.

AMGA’s Immediate Past Board Chair, Don L. For example, several AMGA member groups have achieved dramatic reductions in hospital admissions among patients with heart failure and COPD.”
