WHAT: Insomnia afflicts over 60 million Americans and is a widespread public health concern. A half-day Sleep Summit, geared to primary care physicians and psychiatrists involved in the care of patients with sleep disorders, will be held at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, NY on Monday, June 26, 2004.

The objective of the half-day credited program, is to: describe the neurobiology of sleep; review the most common etiologies of insomnia; evaluate non-pharmacological therapies and hypnosis; understand co-morbid conditions; distinguish among therapeutic options for managing depression and anxiety in patients with insomnia.
