Lincoln, Neb. -- A symposium on "Survey Research: Past, Present and Internet", will be held at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln April 13-15, 2000

The symposium is sponsored by the Gallup Research Center UNL and The Gallup Organization.

Symposium speakers will discuss the impact of changing technology on survey and market research, and how these changes have and will change the role of research with respect to issues such as consumer behavior, political participation and privacy.

The research symposium is organized by the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Gallup Research Center in conjunction with The Gallup Organization.

It will be the fourth annual Nebraska Symposium on Survey to be held in Lincoln. The symposiums focus on issues of survey research in contemporary society and are designed to encourage discussion and interaction among speakers and symposium participants. Participating will be survey professionals, media and governmental specialists in the field of polling, academics who focus on survey research, and interested members of the public.

In addition to invited speakers, the Gallup Research Center will feature poster presentations on the topic of emerging technologies in survey research.
