WHO

California Lieutenant Governor Gavin Newsom is the keynote luncheon speaker. In “State of the State and Real Estate,” Mr. Newsom will discuss the following:

• What are the trend lines that define our world right now and where are they pointing?• Although California as a whole is recovering from the Great Recession, the coastal regions are improving much faster than the inland areas. There are two vastly different California economies now, coastal metro and inland rural, and we must ensure that the recovery brings prosperity to all Californians.• We need leaders in every sector, including the real estate sector, to push for innovation, leverage technology, and commit to solving the problems we face, like the problem of keeping housing affordable for most Californians.

Chair Ken Rosen says the real estate sector is in the “sweet spot” of the economic cycle. Mr. Rosen will deliver the morning’s keynote address on “The Real Estate and Economic Outlook.” See full agenda.
