Frustrated that Congress continues to wish away global warming, nearly 60 scientists from 24 states will converge at the U.S. Capitol to urge lawmakers to heed their warnings about climate change. With more and more industries finally acknowledging the threat of rising temperatures, Congress has become a last bastion of denial over global warming. Rep. Rush Holt (D-N.J.), a working scientist before entering the House last year, will join climate change experts from across the country as they urge Congress to pass legislation commensurate with the seriousness of the global warming threat.
