The Best Article Award will be presented to authors Cassandra S. Diep, Tzu-An Chen, Vanessa F. Davies, Janice C. Baranowski, and Tom Baranowski for their article “Influence of Behavioral Theory on Fruit and Vegetable Intervention Effectiveness Among Children: A Meta-Analysis” published in the November 2014 issue of JNEB. The best article was selected from 81 published articles, briefs, and reports. Dr. Diep will present the results of the Best Article following the conference opening keynote on Sunday, July 26.
The Best GEM award was presented to authors Susan S. Baker, Patricia Kendall, Kristen Frey, Kathryn McGirr, Mary Schroeder, Janet Buffer-Pealer, and Lydia C. Medeiros for their paper “GEM No. 539 Healthy Baby, Healthy Me Food Safety Curriculum,” published in the November 2014 issue of JNEB. GEMs are resources developed to educate on certain topics or distribute programs to help in the nutrition education field. The best GEM was selected from 13 published GEMs.
