Newswise — Boston College Political Science Professor Marc Landy
Prof. Marc Landy is an expert on the American presidency, American politics and elections. He is co-author of the book Presidential Greatness. According to Landy, only five presidents truly deserve the distinction of greatness: George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Andrew Jackson , Abraham Lincoln and Franklin Delano Roosevelt. "These men left genuine legacies, and their vision expanded the office of the presidency as they initiated the changes," Landy has said. "They were leaders who knew how to reconcile innovation with constitutional tradition. They could educate the public about their agendas and win their allegiance. They also built and led their parties during periods of significant political realignment."
Marc Landy has a Ph.D. in Government from Harvard University.
