GLOBAL HEADQUARTERS GROUNDBREAKING BLOCK PARTY

ASU’s Thunderbird School of Global Management Celebrates Construction of New Facility

What: Block party and groundbreaking ceremony celebrating the beginning of construction on Thunderbird’s state-of-the-art global headquarters facility on Arizona State University’s Downtown Phoenix campus. The block party will feature live entertainment, drinks, and food trucks serving international fare. Design renderings of the new building will be presented, and a virtual reality headset display will provide guests with a 3D virtual tour of the facility.    

Who: Speakers include ASU President Michael M. Crow, Thunderbird Director General and Dean Sanjeev Khagram and Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego. Thunderbird students, alumni, faculty and staff will also attend.

When: Monday, October 7; 4:00 – 7:00 pm (Speaker remarks are from 4:15 – 5:15 pm)

Where: 401 N. 1st Street, Phoenix, Arizona 85004. The future home of Thunderbird’s Global Headquarters is the vacant parcel of land adjacent to ASU’s Beus Center for Law and Society. This future construction site is located on the south side of the Beus Center just north of E. Polk Street between N. 1st Street and N. 2nd Street.

Parking is reserved for credentialed journalists along the west side of 2nd St. north of Polk St. A press box and riser will be available for photographers.
