Allergists Announce Joint Position Statement

American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (ACAAI) president Bob Lanier, MD and officers of The American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (AAAAI), and Joint Council of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (JCAAI)announced a joint position statement entitled "Insurance Coverage for H1-Antihistamines: Implications for Quality Healthcare and Public Safety" in response to the trend of health insurance policies that will reduce/eliminate coverage and patient access to several important allergy/asthma medications.

These restrictions will diminish access to treatment and compromise quality of care for millions of patients with allergic diseases creating significant health and safety implications for the general public.
