Harrison Prosper, the Kirby Kemper Professor of Physics at Florida State University: (850) 212-7119 (cell), [email protected]

A high-energy physics experimentalist and CMS collaborator at CERN, Prosper uses data from the CMS experiment to search for evidence of the Higgs boson and for supersymmetry. He and his group have made significant contributions to one of the more important aspects of the search for the Higgs boson at CMS. Prosper, a fellow of the American Physical Society, can speak about Florida State's extensive involvement in the search for the Higgs boson. He will also be able to explain the meaning of the result announced on July 4 and what it implies for future work, including that already under way at Florida State.
