Newswise — Princeton, NJ—November 7, 2016—The International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research (ISPOR) announced today the launch of its New Professionals Network. The new membership category was designed to serve the unique needs of future leaders in the field of health economics and outcomes research (HEOR).
ISPOR’s New Professionals Network will provide development tools and resources specifically tailored to recent entrants into the HEOR workforce. New Professionals member benefits will include My ISPOR Story webinar series and My Career Path webinars. New Professionals will also receive all the standard ISPOR member benefits, including subscriptions to member publications (i.e., Value in Health, Value in Health Regional Issues, and Value & Outcomes Spotlight), access to the ISPOR Career Center, access to ISPOR conferences and educational programs, opportunities to engage with ISPOR Working Groups (i.e., Task Forces, Special Interest Groups, Committees, and Roundtables), as well as access to online knowledge products, tools, and training programs.
Individuals are eligible for New Professionals membership if they meet one of two criteria:1. First-time members to ISPOR who have less than three years of experience in the field of HEOR; or2. Recent graduates who are removed from their undergraduate, graduate, or doctoral programs for less than three years (including first-time members and student members transitioning to New Professionals membership)
New Professionals will be eligible to renew their membership for two additional years before being transitioned to the standard ISPOR membership.
ISPOR’s New Professionals Network exemplifies the Society’s commitment to developing the future leaders of the HEOR field. Through active engagement and tailored programs, the Society will provide New Professionals with the tools and resources that will help them grow their network, learn from world-renowned experts, develop their knowledge, and advance their career.
ISPOR has long supported students through its student membership category and network. The New Professionals Network is an extension of this commitment to serve students as they transition into professional careers in HEOR. This new membership category also benefits employers by providing added professional growth and development for early-career employees.
