Margolis Takes on ARVO Presidency
Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO)Todd Margolis, MD, PhD (University of California-San Francisco) is the new president of the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology, taking over from Martine Jager, MD, PhD (Leiden University, The Netherlands), whose one-year term ended in April. Donald Hood, PhD (Columbia University) and Barry Winkler, PhD (Oakland University) will serve as vice presidents. Nicholas Delamere, PhD (University of Arizona) has been named president-elect; he will serve the 2009-2010 term. Paul Sternberg, MD (Vanderbilt Eye Institute) is vice-president elect for that term.
