Children Exaggerate Their Use of Asthma Medication
National Jewish Medical and Research CenterNinety-two percent of children taking corticosteroids and 71 percent of children using beta-agonists to control asthma attacks exaggerate how often they take medication, according to a National Jewish Medical and Research Center study published in the Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology. Children who didn't follow prescription instructions had a significantly greater chance of having a severe asthma attack than children who took medication correctly.
