Newswise — Research conducted by faculty at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso is crucial for saving lives in our Borderplex community, statewide and nationally due to cutting-edge studies that produce results specifically for people across the border region.

Often, minorities especially Hispanics, those who are from border regions are not appropriately included in studies and clinical trials, which may suggest that the results from those initiatives do not precisely benefit Hispanic populations in the border regions. In El Paso County, 82.9% of residents are Hispanic and mostly are from the border region.
