Dr. Kenneth Ragsdell, professor of engineering management and systems engineering at Missouri University of Science and Technology, is available to discuss his friendship with the late Neil Armstrong with reporters.

Ragsdell met the former astronaut through the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. Ragsdell was at Purdue University at the time. Armstrong, a graduate of Purdue, was on the faculty at the University of Cincinnati.

“He was very famous, but you’d never know it by the way he acted,” Ragsdell says. “He was just an Ohio farm boy, and a true hero.”
