'Overwhelming Favorite' in Annual Hearing Industry Survey

Newswise — The results from an annual survey of audiologists and hearing instrument specialists are in—and The Hearing Journal: The Journal of Hearing Care and Technology came out on top as the leading hearing industry trade journal. In an annual survey, a worldwide sampling of hearing professionals named The Hearing Journal as their favorite publication by more than four to one over its closest competitor.

Annual Survey Ranks The Hearing Journal Tops in FieldEvery year, The Hearing Journal and Audiology Online (www.audiology.com) —the world-leader in online resources for the audiology profession—join forces to survey the hearing industry community on best professional practices. This year, 418 respondents completed the survey, which was mailed out to the Audiology Online email address list. To ensure a representative sampling of hearing instrument specialists, the survey was also sent to the email list of the International Hearing Society. This year's survey included specific questions assessing hearing professionals' views on The Hearing Journal and other publications in the field.

When respondents were asked which of the three top industry trade publications they would subscribe to if they could only receive one, The Hearing Journal was the clear winner. Nearly three-quarters of respondents selected The Hearing Journal—a margin of four to one over The Hearing Review and more than seven to one over Advance for Audiologists.
