The current cases are a result of unvaccinated visitors and citizens traveling to areas of epidemics, and traveling or returning to the United States with the infection, and spreading the virus in areas with low immunization rates. We must be on constant vigilance for any suspected cases when caring for patients and strongly recommend patients verify and/or update their vaccination status.”
