Digital business expert Andrew Ching, a professor of marketing and economics at the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School, is available to speak with journalists about the challenges, advantages, and disadvantages of any attempt by the government to break up Facebook – a step that has been urged by members of Congress.

In his research, Ching focuses on understanding how consumers learn from new information sources and form habits (including addiction), and how firms design their marketing in such situations. He has researched a range of digital business settings with network effects including peer-to-peer lending platforms, digital health online support groups, payment systems, and video games.
