Article title: The tubular striatum and nucleus accumbens distinctly represent reward-taking and seeking

Authors: Katherine N. Wright and Daniel W. Wesson

From the authors: “This study provides a first step in directly contextualizing the [tubular striatum]’s activity in relation to that in the [nucleus accumbens] and, by doing so, establishes a critical framework for future research seeking to better understand the brain basis for drug addiction.”

This study is highlighted as one of January’s "best of the best" as part of the American Physiological Society's APSselect program.
