Dr. Kumar is a board-certified pediatrician with nearly 20 years of experience. He earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, where he also completed his internship and residency in pediatrics. Dr. Kumar is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and is active in the Maryland chapter of the organization.

Dr. Vijayanand was appointed an Associate Professor in the Division of Vaccine Discovery in 2015. He is the inaugural holder of the William K. Bowes Distinguished Professorship

Dr. Vijayanand received his M.D. from the MGR Medical University in Chennai, India, and completed his residency in Internal Medicine followed by a Pulmonary Fellowship in the United Kingdom. In 2008, he obtained his Ph.D. from the University of Southampton, United Kingdom, where he studied the mechanisms of accumulation and activation of T cells in human asthma. Since then, Dr. Vijayanand has split his time between laboratory research and seeing patients at the University of Southampton, where he currently holds an appointment as an Associate Professor in the School of Medicine. In 2007, he was awarded a prestigious National Career Development Fellowship to undertake translational studies in the epigenetic regulation of the immune cell signaling molecules in human asthma at UC San Francisco, where he was appointed adjunct assistant professor in the Department of Medicine in 2009. Two years later, Vijay joined the La Jolla Institute for Allergy and Immunology as an adjunct assistant professor in the Division of Signaling and Gene Expression.

Ruchi Gupta, MD, is an Attending Physician, Academic General Pediatrics and Primary Care, at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago and an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. Dr. Gupta also is the Director of the Science and Outcomes of Allergy and Asthma Research Team (SOAAR). Her clinical interests are in the areas of asthma, food allergy, and eczema. She is involved in clinical, epidemiological, and community research. She has been nationally recognized for her research in the areas of food allergy and asthma epidemiology.

Susan R. Bailey, MD, an allergist/immunologist from Fort Worth, Texas, was elected president of the American Medical Association in June 2020. Previously, she served as president-elect of the AMA for one year, speaker of the AMA House of Delegates for four years and as vice speaker for four years.

Dr. Bailey, who has been active in the AMA since medical school when she served as chair of the AMA Medical Student Section, has held numerous leadership positions with the AMA. These include serving as chair of both the Advisory Panel on Women in Medicine and the AMA Council on Medical Education, as well as representing the AMA on the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education, the American Board of Medical Specialties, and COLA.

Her long history of service in helping guide organized medicine extends to the local and state levels as well. She has served as board chair and president of the Tarrant County Medical Society, and as vice speaker, speaker and president of the Texas Medical Association.

Dr. Bailey is an allergist in private practice, and has been with Fort Worth Allergy and Asthma Associates for over 30 years. She completed her residency in general pediatrics and a fellowship in allergy/immunology at the Mayo Graduate School of Medicine in Rochester, Minn., and is board certified in allergy and immunology, and pediatrics and has been awarded the title of Distinguished Fellow of the American College of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology.

In addition to receiving her medical degree with honors from the Texas A&M University College of Medicine
as a member of its charter class, Dr. Bailey was later appointed to the Texas A&M System Board of Regents by then Gov. George W. Bush, and has been named a Distinguished Alumnus of Texas A&M University and of Texas A&M University College of Medicine.

Dr. Neeta Ogden is an Allergy, Asthma and Immunology specialist in private practice. She is board-certified by the American Board of Allergy and Immunology and American Board of Internal medicine. A graduate of Yale University and Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Dr. Ogden trained in Internal Medicine followed by a specialty fellowship in Allergy and Immunology. She has published research in academic journals and presented research at national allergy meetings. Her research has included investigating the effect of probiotics on allergic disease. 

Dr. Ogden is a member of the Medical-Scientific Council of the Allergy and Asthma Foundation of America (AAFA), a fellow of the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (ACAAI), a spokesperson for the ACAAI and a member of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (AAAAI).

Dr. Ogden is currently a weekly medical contributor to CBSN where she discusses coronavirus updates, as well as a regular media contributor to CNN, HLN and CheddarTV. In addition, she has shared her expertise with NBC Nightly News, The Today Show, CBS The Morning Show, CNN, Parents Magazine, The Washington Post, Women's Health Magazine, Men's Health Magazine, Redbook and Martha Stewart Living, and NPR among others. 

Dr. Ogden is currently in private practice as the Director of The Allergy, Asthma and Sinus Center in Edison, NJ.
