Food allergies can be reversed in mice by targeting the microbiome
American Chemical Society (ACS)Treating allergic mice with a form of butyrate — which is produced by good gut bacteria — protects against peanut allergy, scientists report today. The treatment might also counteract other food allergies and inflammatory diseases. They will present their results at ACS Fall 2022.
