Newswise — The Vasculitis Foundation (VF) has been chosen as a winner in the Nonprofit Connect 2015 Philly Awards. Nonprofit Connect holds this competition to recognize outstanding achievements in nonprofit marketing and communications.

The Vasculitis Foundation entered a video from its Extraordinary Vasculitis Stories series which features video interviews with patients who have vasculitis. The winning video spotlights how Brook, a patient with Takayasu’s arteritis, has achieved personal and career goals despite having the rare disease.

The VF will receive the award at a ceremony on November 5 in Kansas City Missouri. Joyce Kullman, VF Executive Director said the VF is honored to receive the award because it brings recognition to the Extraordinary Vasculitis Stories videos. "We have produced more than 150 of these patient interview. They are popular because our patient community can learn how others live with vasculitis," says Kullman. "This award will help us bring even more awareness about our videos, and ultimately raise awareness and understanding about vasculitis. That's always our end goal," says Kullman.
