'Liquid Armor' Toughens Spacesuits

The nanocomposite material, sometimes called "liquid armor," adds little weight to the fabric and does not reduce its flexibility - two critical features for a space suit. NASA recently provided a grant for its study and prototypes will be sent for testing on the International Space Station in November.
