Expert Pitch
When breaking news happens, get experts for the “first-day” story with Expert Pitch. Quickly find qualified, credible experts to comment on major news events in the Newswise Expert Pitch section, and follow @Expert_Pitch on Twitter to get rapid delivery of every Expert Pitch submission.
What you’ll find with Expert Pitch:
Who: Newswise members will provide the expert’s name, title, affiliation.
What: See a description of their qualifications as an expert and the news story they can comment on.
Why: Background info on the expert’s unique credentials, sample quotations, a head shot, and info on the expert’s media training. (optional)
Expert Feature
Expert Feature news releases tend to be fully written news releases about an expert, such as a researcher with a book being published, or an op-ed written by a professor. These experts may be available for commentary on breaking news and include contact information for follow up interviews. Look for the “Expert Available” tag on these releases in your Newswise wires and in the Expert Feature section.
Expert Query
Reporters may submit an Expert Query to request a source to comment in a piece they are currently writing. The Expert Query request is then emailed to Newswise members, who can respond directly to the reporter. Need an expert now and can’t find one under Expert Pitch or Expert Feature?
