WASHINGTON (Jan. 29, 2020) — Heart disease is one of the leading causes of death in the U.S., according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. February is American Heart Month, which was created to remind Americans to focus on their heart health and encourage families, friends, and communities to do the same. William Borden, MD, associate professor of medicine and chief quality and population health officer, is an expert in cardiovascular disease prevention, quality of care, and health policy.
