Texas Tech Awarded McNair Postbaccalaureate Grant

Texas Tech University has been named a recipient of a five-year, $1,161,325 grant from the Ronald E. McNair Postbaccalaureate Achievement Program, one of eight educational opportunity programs within the U.S. Department of Education’s Federal TRIO Programs. The grant, named after the NASA astronaut killed in the 1986 Space Shuttle Challenger tragedy, is awarded to higher education institutions through a competitive process and will be administered at Texas Tech by the Division of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DDEI).

Texas Tech University Formalizes Agreement With Amarillo College

Texas Tech University and Amarillo College signed an institution-to-institution memorandum of understanding (MOU) today (Nov. 16) to enable the success of community college transfer students. The need for the MOU arose from a meeting between Texas Tech and Amarillo College to further develop programs for students in STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) areas at Amarillo College who intend to transfer to Texas Tech, specifically those who intend to get a degree through Texas Tech’s College of Agriculture Sciences & Natural Resources’ Department of Plant and Soil Science.
