Newswise — The American Association of Critical-Care Nurses (AACN) now offers Google Preview, a clickable website feature on AACN’s Online Bookstore that lets readers browse designated titles prior to purchase.

Available on nearly one third of the bookstore’s approximate 160 titles, Google Preview provides an open interface with selections found on Google Book Search. The technology provides limited browsing capability that lets readers view pages and a clickable table of contents to access specific book passages.

Ramón Lavandero, RN, MA, MSN, FAAN, AACN’s director of communications and strategic alliances, expects Google Preview to enhance the shopping experience for Online Bookstore visitors, saying, “Google Preview lets readers interact virtually with titles prior to purchase. It’s similar to paging through books at a brick and mortar store.”

AACN’s Online Bookstore offers a wide array of up-to-date references — ranging from inspirational to clinical — for acute and critical care nurses in all professional roles and clinical specialties. AACN offers its members a discount on Online Bookstore purchases.
