Newswise — Babson College, the No. 1 college for entrepreneurship education, is now offering undergraduate students the opportunity to live and learn in the San Francisco/Silicon Valley area.

Beginning this semester, current undergraduate students are spending a semester studying away at Babson's San Francisco campus, located at 135 Main Street in the SOMA district.

“The San Francisco semester away program is an exciting new initiative that provides a natural extension of the learning that happens on the Babson Wellesley campus right in the center of the tech entrepreneurship eco-system: Silicon Valley. Our students who are learning how to turn ideas into action through Babson’s innovative entrepreneurship curriculum are going to feel right at home here in the Bay Area, in a culture rooted in innovation,” said Lynn Santopietro, director of Babson's San Francisco campus.

As part of the semester in San Francisco, Babson students will:

- Take a full course load taught by Babson faculty.- Have the opportunity to learn and network with the broader business community, including NatureBox, Square, Taylor Stitch, Inflection, and others in the San Francisco/Silicon Valley area. - Participate in events at the San Francisco campus, such as BabsonConnect that brings together local alumni and business partners for networking.

“We see the San Francisco semester as a perfect complement to a student’s entrepreneurial studies on Babson’s Wellesley campus,” said Undergraduate Dean Scott Moore.
