Newswise — Ronald Watts, fellow at Queen's University's Institute of Intergovernmental Relations, recently returned from a visit to Nepal where he participated in discussions with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) about creating a federal system there.

He is available to discuss Nepal's state of transition, the campaign for elections to be held on April 10, as well as the decade-long period characterized by an insurgency carried out by the Communist Party of Nepal-Maoist.

During his time in Nepal, Dr. Watts had meetings with the Prime Minister, Chief Justice, Foreign Secretary, Secretary of the Ministry of Peace and Reconstruction, Judicial Committee on Federalism of the Supreme Court, and the Nepal Bar Association.
