“The IB World Student Conferences provide a creative, active environment in which first- and second-year students in the IB Diploma Programme and the IBCC can collaborate with their IB peers to work on solving real global issues and to show innovation, leadership, and teamwork,” says Ross Duran, IB World Student Conferences Manager. “The IB World Student Conferences enable individual students to express international understanding and to grow in ways that can have long-term effects on their careers and their personal lives.”

The IB World Student Conferences serve to introduce IB students to universities that extend recognition to IB graduates and to showcase the unique credentials and characteristics of IB students and programmes to university admission teams. This is the second year that the IB has offered World Student Conferences; the number of conferences has doubled from 2012.

Conference registration is online and ongoing from now until next June. Online registration is for students and for adult observers, who may include educators (IB and non-IB) and parents.
