Newswise — The Spelman College Women's Research and Resource Center has for nearly 30 years embraced its unique identity and pioneering role among historiclaly Black women's colleges firmly rooted in the liberal arts tradition. The Center is committed toe creating a global community of progressive women and men who envision a world free from injustice, exploitation, violence, poverty, waste, greed, illness and misogyny. The Toni Cade Bambara Radical Sisterhood Lectures series is a tribute to the scholar/activist/author who served as a writer in residence at Spelman College (1978-1979) and who refused to separate the struggle for civil rights from a commitment to women's struggle for freedom. The TCB Radical Sisterhood Lectures run through the beginning of November.
