DANVILLE, KY -- Centre College commencement exercises are set for Sunday, May 30, with former Centre President Michael F. Adams to give the keynote address. Adams left Centre in 1997 to become president of the University of Georgia. His son, David, is a member of CentreÃŒs graduating class.

The commencement service will begin at 3 p.m. in Newlin Hall in the collegeÃŒs Norton Center for the Arts. Virtually all seats are reserved for family members of the graduating seniors.

The Centre baccalaureate service, set for 11 a.m.in Newlin Hall on the same day, will be open to the public at no cost. Thomas Farmer, pastor of the Danville Presbyterian Church, will deliver the baccalaureate sermon.

Centre will award honorary degrees to Adams and Farmer.

The Centre senior class has 239 candidates for bachelorÃŒs degrees.
