Newswise — University of the Sciences (USciences) and Burlington County College (BCC) have formalized a transfer articulation agreement that guarantees seats in two USciences undergraduate programs for students earning their associates degree at BCC. The two schools will officially sign the agreement at a ceremony on Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2014, at 3 p.m. at USciences.
Articulation agreements set forth the principles of mutual understanding to facilitate the progression of students between two institutions. This partnership builds on the strengths of each institution to offer students a broad range of educational opportunities. Ultimately, the agreement provides a clear path for students to achieve their educational goals. “USciences shares with Burlington County College a commitment to present students with outstanding opportunities that prepare them for rewarding careers," said Dr. Helen Giles-Gee, president of University of the Sciences. "This agreement benefits students by providing a clear path from the BCC associate degree to earning a bachelor’s degree from USciences." Under terms of the agreement, BCC students who complete an associate degree in business administration or exercise science (which is under development) will be assured junior status in the corresponding USciences programs in pharmaceutical and healthcare business, and exercise science and wellness management, respectively. Students will also qualify for a USciences scholarship. BCC students will need to submit a transfer application and meet pre-approved criteria and academic requirements. In general, a full-time student can complete their undergraduate degree within four regular semesters at USciences.
