University at BuffaloWomen who ate the popular Puerto Rican condiment sofrito, which contains onions and garlic, more than once per day had a 67% decreased risk of breast cancer. It's the first population-based study examining the association between onion and garlic consumption and breast cancer in Puerto Rico.
