Newswise — The University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center is hosting an educational program entitled "A Journey to Wellness"¦Mindful Eating: Know Your Hunger" on Thursday, Jan.17. The public is invited to attend this free event.

Featured speaker Jean Kristeller, Ph.D., professor of psychology and the director of the Center for the Study of Health, Religion and Spirituality at Indiana State University, teaches people how to feel their hunger, trust their taste buds and become deeply satisfied with the quality rather than quantity of food they eat.

Check in begins at 5 p.m. in the Lowry and Peggy Mays Clinic at 1220 Holcombe Blvd., Room 1.2325, followed by the evening's program at 5:30 p.m. Parking for this event is free in the lot underneath the Mays Clinic at Entrance 5 on the corner of Holcombe and Bertner.
