Michael T. Andary, MD, MS, of Michigan State University, was elected President of the American Association of Neuromuscular & Electrodiagnostic Medicine (AANEM) at the organization's annual meeting in Providence, Rhode Island.

Dr. Andary is Professor and Residency Program Director in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in East Lansing, Michigan. He is Medical Director of the Inpatient Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Sparrow Hospital and Director of Electrodiagnostic Medicine at Ingham Regional Medical Center. He is board certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and subspecialty certified in Pain Medicine, and the American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine.

The AANEM is the largest organization worldwide, with over 5000 physician members dedicated to advancing neuromuscular, musculoskeletal, and electrodiagnostic medicine.
