WHAT: American Heart Association's Scientific Sessions 2001

Our media kit will include about 19 news releases and 25 news briefs selected from more than 4,000 abstracts. Four news conferences will be held daily, starting Sunday morning. Late breaking clinical trials will be presented Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. We will be scheduling times for media to meet with researchers whose studies are the focus of our news releases. American Heart Association spokespersons will be available to comment on research presentations and there will be many opportunities to interview top researchers.
Media registration will be open on Saturday, Nov. 10, 1-5 p.m., 4th floor, Hilton Hotel if you wish to pick up your badge and media materials before the meeting begins on Sunday. We also invite you to attend a reception on Sunday, Nov. 11, from 6-7:30 p.m in the News Media Center, 4th floor of the Hilton Anaheim Hotel, Palos Verdes Rooms A & B to announce the winner of the Howard L. Lewis Achievement Award.

Please return the registration form today. Pre-registration for media will be accepted until Oct. 12; after that date you will have to register on-site and bring press credentials. Onsite or "guest media" registrants will not have access to working space in the newsroom. Hotel rooms are filling up fast, please send in your hotel form as soon as possible or you may not be able to secure a room.
