Leading Health and Medical Organizations Leverage Social Media to Increase Arthritis Awareness

Throughout the month of May,the American College of Rheumatology, Arthritis Foundation, Mayo Clinic, and Nemours are partnering to celebrate Arthritis Action Month (formerly Arthritis Awareness Month).

HIGHLIGHTS

Arthritis Action Month highlights include:

• Weekly Facebook chats with rheumatologists

Rheumatoid Arthritis: Tuesday, May 1 at noon EDT. Hosted by the ACR with Mayo Clinic rheumatologist, Dr. John Davis.

Gout: Tuesday, May 15 at 12:30 pm EDT. Hosted by Mayo Clinic with its rheumatologist, Dr. Tim Bongartz.

Osteoarthritis: Wednesday, May 16 at 1:00 pm EDT. Hosted by the Arthritis Foundation with its Vice President of Public Health, Dr. Patience White and Mayo Clinic rheumatologist, Dr. Tim Bongartz.

Fibromyalgia: Thursday, May 31 at 2:00 PM EDT. Hosted by Mayo Clinic with the medical director of its Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Clinic, Dr. Ann Vincent.

Juvenile Arthritis: Thursday, May 10 at 10 AM EDT. Hosted by the ACR with Nemours pediatric rheumatologist, Dr. Paul Rosen and Arthritis Foundation Vice President of Public Health, Dr. Patience White.
