Newswise — Babson MBA students will hold the Babson Energy & Environmental Conference 2010 on March 25th to focus on how businesses can implement sustainability in practical, actionable ways that drive profits, strengthen competitive advantage, and move us all towards life on a healthier, cleaner planet.

Following opening remarks by conference chair Mark Donohue, Gary Hirshberg, President and CE-Yo of Stonyfield Farm, will give the morning keynote address.

The morning includes a rotation of seminars on Energy Efficiency and Sustainable Design, and roundtable discussions with entrepreneurs from the New England Clean Energy Council (NECEC) Fellowship Program.

Jon Gorham CEO, Green Media Ventures, Rachel Hinchliffe Environmental Defense Fund, and Robert Araujo, Manager Sustainability & EHS Programs, Sikorsky Aircraft each take the floor to lead their own thought provoking presentation.

Award-winning journalist and host of NPR's On Point, Tom Ashbrook, will facilitate a discussion among corporate leaders in sustainability, including Martin Madaus, Chairman, President, and CEO of Millipore. The interactive conversation will explore how businesses are implementing sustainable strategies without waiting for legislative action.

The conference will expose participants to the emerging business strategies, innovative companies, and clean technologies that are driving this sector forward. The format will:
