Newswise — The entirely student-run Babson Entrepreneurship Forum will be held at Babson College's Wellesley campus on Friday, November 14, 2014. Centered on the theme of “Owning the Future,” more than 25 prominent speakers will be featured in panels, keynotes, and breakouts throughout the day.

The opening keynote highlights the newest inductees into Babson’s Academy of Distinguished Entrepreneurs, Diane Hessan, Graham Weston, and Alan Trefler. Attendees will also hear from closing speaker Wayne Chang, Twitter’s Global Head of Developer Experience.

Other sessions will explore entrepreneurship in the arts, small business culture, family enterprise, rewriting the entrepreneurial rule book, mobile companies that put the world in your pocket, and a high powered panel with founders, CEOs, and investors.

Leading off Global Entrepreneurship Week, the Forum is one of many events planned for the Babson community between November 13-20. These events are part of the thousands of events held in 140+ countries that celebrate innovation, entrepreneurship, and creativity. Babson’s Academy of Distinguished Entrepreneurs induction ceremony and Celebration of Entrepreneurs of All Kinds in Boston round out the week’s major events.

The Forum is one of Babson’s flagship annual student initiatives, first held in 2002. Over the Forum’s history, it has featured prominent speakers such as Daymond John, Shark Tank host and fubu Founder; Marshall Carter, Chairman of the NYSE Group; Brian Halligan, CEO & Founder of Hubspot; John Harthorne, Founder & CEO of MassChallenge; and Charlie Baker, former General Catalyst Executive in Residence and Massachusetts Governor-elect.

More than 500 attendees from the entrepreneurship, investing, business, Babson, and local communities are expected at the Wellesley campus for this year’s Forum. Registration is open through November 14th, and tickets are available at student and professional rates.
