Newswise — More than 340 research-focused posters are on display during the 2010 Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, or USU, Research Week celebration, which began today and continues through Wednesday, May 12. The annual three-day event includes lectures by renowned scientists, and student and faculty symposia highlighting exceptional work in the fields of behavioral sciences, obesity and nutrition, deployment health, microbiology and immunology, epidemiology and infectious diseases, combat casualty care, neuroscience, and other specialty areas.

"Celebrating Excellence in Research," reflects the complementary roles that nursing, public health, behavioral science, basic science, and medicine play in health promotion.
